How we provide the best care for residents with Huntington’s

Huntington’s disease (HD) can progress rapidly, affecting each individual in a unique way. That’s why specificity and adaptability are the core qualities of our approach to palliative care.

Every Huntington’s disease palliative resident receives a personalised care plan that offers general holistic therapies as well as unique accommodations to suit their needs. As their Huntington’s progresses and their end-of-life needs evolve, our care will evolve with them.

Hear from our residents and family members

"The staff at OxaCare are wonderful looking after my Mum. She is well looked after and she loves it there. Plenty of activities for her to do which she loves. The staff always keep me updated with Mum which I'm grateful for."

Let’s detail the end-of-life procedure

It’s a difficult conversation but a necessary one. When you’re ready to have it, we’ll need to discuss the end-of-life requests you or your loved one has. This will be an ongoing conversation that will require regular updates and will need to cover resuscitation requests and pain management preferences.

We will work closely with you to explain every option and possibility so that you can focus on what matters most — your loved ones — and leave the medical details to us.
